Here you will find a selection of Zouk Parties, Weekenders, Workshops and Festivals happening around New Zealand! We encourage you to get to as many as you can so you can experience dancing with a range of Zoukers and improve your Zouk skills!

WELLINGTON
Wezouk is Wellingtons beautiful zouk community headed by Adam and Leona. They run weekly classes as well as Saturday practicas and twice monthly socials plus regularly host weekenders with their own team and out of town guest teachers. www.salsatherapy.co.nz

NZ Salsa Congress (Queens Birthday weekend) – usually hosts 6 – 8 zouk instructors from NZ and overseas to run a number of workshops. The congress also has a dedicated zouk and kizomba party room for the 3 parties over the weekend. www.nzsalsacongress.co.nz
CHRISTCHURCH
Brazilian Beatz is Christchurch’s premiere zouk academy run by world renowned zouk artists Leo and Becky. They often host parties and events with international instructors. www.brazilianbeatznz.com
NZouk is a volunteer run organization that hosts NZs national zouk festival Zouk Do Sul (previously NZ Brazilian Dance Festival), as well as other events. www.nzouk.com

AUCKLAND
Auckland has at least 2 or 3 zouk schools which all offer something a bit different in their way of teaching and often work together to host international teachers for weekenders, as well as their own events.
Viva Dance Auckland is home to zouk instructors Dharshana and Phoebe. Dharsh was Trents teacher while he was dance partners with Shantini. Together Dharsh and Shantini taught at large Australian and South East Asian zouk festivals as well as here in NZ. Phoebe is a beautiful dancer having learnt and danced zouk all over the world. www.vivadance.co.nz

Dunedin has a thriving Zouk scene nurtured by Augusto and Emily at Salsa Club Dunedin. They run weekly classes and social nights, and quite regular events, hosting guest zouk instructors from around NZ. www.salsaclubdunedin.com
